Even if they do resign him, don’t you guys see a big risk? Manning is playing with screws on his neck. It’s not like he hurt his arm, leg, ankle, shoulder, etc. He hurt his neck. One big nasty hit can totally hurt him, probably even paralyze him. Either way, I wish Manning and the Colts the best.

I think the Indianapolis Colts should keep Peyton Manning,he’s done so much for that city and organization.He deserves those 28 million dollars they’ll owe him in March,and I think he’ll be a good mentor for Andrew Luck(if the Colts acquire him).

I am Patriots fan and I have to tell you. Ersay is insane if he let’s this world class QB go. Peyton Manning has maybe 3 or 4 more peak years left.
As good as Peyton is and only winning 1 S.B. I think the Colts are better off getting rid of Manning. First of all he is not even sure if he can play. Second, even if Manning can play, in the back of his mind he’s going to be afraid if he can take a hit or not. Save the money to rebuild the offense & the defense. Who cares if Manning plays somewhere else and comes back to play against the Colts. Montana did it against his old team. But, the 49er’s won a S.B. with Young.
This just goes to show you what they were going to do, regardless if he were hurt or not. They were ready to go another way. I so hope Luck sucks in the NFL. Pay backs a bitch, all I can say.
With the coaching changes, Peyton needs to go. The Colts shot themselves in the foot by giving him so much money so late in his career. In a perfect world, you would want Peyton to groom Luck but $28M for a QB coach is insane when their team has so many holes on the defensive end.
Pagano will use that $28M to re-shape his defense because this team has very good offensive players already for Luck to walk into.
Peyton needs to continue playing. All of The Colts should be cut except Peyton Manning. We only lose when Peyton doesn’t play.

@EdgarD8387 I agree. I don’t think Peyton would stick his neck out (no pun intended) to play for another team. As much as I love watching dude dissect defenses, I think he should do the prudent thing and retire. He’ll be a hands down 1st ballot Hall Of Famer.
I have this feeling Peyton is retiring. You really think he would risk his neck even if a doctor tells him it’s okay for him to play? Only Peyton knows if he can and would want to keep playing. Peyton will retire before anyone tells him that he’s cut.
@EcEryda69 Well they’re taking a chance either way. It’s the nature of business. Manning could re injure himself the first play of the first pre season game and Andrew Luck could be the next Ryan Leaf.
